Why the Name 900 Homes.
“900 Homes” started as a rough guess. I originally thought there were just over 900 homes in our neighborhood, but it turns out there are closer to 1,500. The name stuck anyway, and it represents the original idea of connecting neighbors and sharing stories. home.
Why am I doing this?
I started this to bring the focus back to our own neighborhood. There are people right here with real stories, hard-earned experience, and lessons that actually matter.
Today, a lot of what we see on social media is driven by influencers chasing attention or trying to make money. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it often means the content isn’t about real life or meaningful lessons.
This is about something different. Instead of only listening to voices online that we’ll never meet, this is about learning from the people around us, people we can actually connect with, learn from, and build a stronger community with.
Who am I
I’m just someone who lives here and believes there’s more value in the people around us than we give credit for. I’m not a journalist or an influencer, just someone who got curious about the stories in our own neighborhood.
By background, I’m a tech guy originally from California, but I’ve called this neighborhood home for the past 20 years.
